This is actually pretty neat, considering that, number 1, I am an arthropod enthusiast, and 2, the original pokemon games were inspired by bug collecting. Looks good so far! Hope to see lots of updates and finally, the finished game!

Thanks for your kind words friend! I'll try my best!

Looking great! Great level of detail and the story around Entomology sounds fantastic.
I remember when I was a little kid - part of my professional career would be "entomologist". :P

This game is very nice and fun. Gives me very nostalgic old pokemon game vibes and it was honestly a lot of fun.

Some critiques I have would only be two things. The first being the textboxes. The text feels super weird and cuts off sentences in odd places making most dialogue from explanatory to just talking to people a little awkward.

The second would be the sounds. There is a distinct lack of music and sounds for a lot of interactables which makes the whole experience a silent pursuit. That being said when I did hear sounds(ex. Talking to the Doctor and Receiving the Ant, and battle encounters in general), it scared the crap out of me.

These things are pretty small in the scope of the entire game which was overall really fun. I was a big fan of all the graphics especially. The dedication and hard work you put into this game really shows and I can't wait to see more.

Thank you so much! I totally agree with the points you brought up and I can explain myself a little bit :)

The textboxes are a little janky due to me having to copy and paste to make edits, and then forgetting that textboxes have a character limit so the sentences get broken up in weird places. Totally my fault and I'll go back and re-edit soon for clarity :)

The lack of music is due to the fact I'm still learning how to make music for GB Studio and music is on the top of the priority list so it will go in ASAP. Apologies for scaring you!

Thank you for your kind words, it means a lot! <3

Cute! I really liked the color palette! I’ll be interested to see where you take it!
